Hi, I’m Cynthia.
I graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2008. Prior to that I obtained my BSc in Kinesiology at McMaster University. I went on to take further courses specializing in cancer care, and over the last 15 years have gained comprehensive experience in hospital and community settings. During my years at Princess Margaret Hospital, I was involved with research and program development with the goal of improving quality of life in people living with cancer. In 2019 I completed my certification in Combined Decongestive Therapy, furthering my expertise in lymphedema and cancer management. I seek to explore the whole person throughout their healing journey, whether from an acute injury, chronic pain, or through the complexities of cancer. My integrative approach is further enhanced using aspects of my yoga teacher training and acupuncture.
I work with people throughout all stages of cancer treatment, whether it is prehabilitation, recovering after treatments, or palliative support. I also offer one on one yoga rehabilitation sessions, for recovery from an injury, pain management, lymphedema, or for safely furthering one's yoga practice.
I also enjoy working with athletic injuries, being an avid athlete myself. When not cycling around town seeing clients, I'm often found rock climbing, ice climbing or off-grid on a mountaineering adventure.
